Tribute to the Music of Jeff Lynne

Tribute to the Music of Jeff Lynne

Against label wishes for an all-star showcase, Ochoa opted for small-scale spontaneity on this album and it paid off: his Cuban campesino stylings sound utterly vibrant. Ochoa is a gruff singer with a great hand for the guitar and a commitment to complex African rhythms. This family affair was recorded almost entirely in Ochoa's hometown of Santiago de Cuba.
The folloowing christian music artists are included are Rick Altizer, PFR, Sixpence None the Richer.

Jars of Clay

Jars of Clay

Along with Creed and Sixpence None the Richer, Jars of Clay attend of the new school of CCM that has gained a foothold in the secular world of alternative rock. With punchy acoustic arrangements that range from dark, rocked-up numbers to the more introspective music usually associated with Christian bands, Jars of Clay express their faith through song without falling into traditional evangelistic traps.

Jeremy Camp

Jeremy Camp

Camp's journey has been one of courage rewarded. After losing his young wife to cancer just months after their marriage, he held nothing from that experience back, breaking open his heart and faith on his debut album Stay. The intimate details of his life, combined with his elevated vocals, won over everyone within earshot. He didn't tarry long between being the new "it" Christian alternative guy and cementing his influence at the 2004 Dove Awards, where he was crowned Artist of the Year by the Gospel Music Association (GMA). Still the new kid, though, it remains to be seen whether Camp will head toward soft, folksy ballads or drum-pumping rock worship. Fans continue to hope for more of both.

Lifehouse

Lifehouse

With somber, smoothed-out, sentimental melodies, Lifehouse push the boundaries of Post-Grunge just enough to keep from sounding too much like the hordes of other bands vying for airtime on MTV. With their anger under control, Lifehouse's songs are easier to digest and destined to move more units.
